India Day Holland 2011
Our NGO NJASS (Nav Jyoti aur Samridhi Samiti) will be parterning with India Day Holland 2011.
Place : 9 October 2011 ( 13.00- 20.00 hrs) at LEXION VENNUE, OVERTOOM 65, WESTZAAN, The Netherlands.
The purpose will be to showcase social work of our organisation done specially for poor women and children in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand in India. We request people to visit in large numbers on India day Holland 2011 and extend their kind help to us. Shortly Launching Free Knitting, Tailoring, Local Handicraft, Training for Poor Village Womens
Of the 1.3 billion people who live in absolute poverty around the globe, 70 percent are women. For these women, poverty doesn't just mean scarcity and want. It means rights denied, opportunities curtailed and voices silenced. But the personal strength that grows as NJASS trains women to collectively manage their resources and govern their groups, and the confidence that blooms as women accumulate assets and gain new knowledge.
The Society is planning to open a small classroom for women to teach them the skills of knitting, tailoring, local handicrafts, so that they will get an opportunity to gain economic, social skills and savvy, which opens a greater field of action. The society will give free training to the needy women from all sections of life.
